About

Description of the Presentation:The presentation showcases Stylec, a fashion technology mobile app developed to address decision fatigue and stress associated with modern clothing shopping. Stylec empowers users to discover new fashion ideas, organize their wardrobes, and build confidence in their personal style, all while supporting sustainability and ease of use.The project followed a human-centered design process, including:

  • Empathize: Conducting in-depth interviews with eight participants to uncover frustrations (like inconsistent sizing and synthetic fabrics), behaviors, and motivations around shopping.
  • Define: Creating a primary persona, Jake Thompson, a budget-conscious college student who dislikes shopping, values comfort over trends, and prefers sustainable materials.
  • Ideate: Generating solutions that would make shopping simpler and more intuitive, including AI-powered recommendations and personalized filters for materials, price, and fit.
  • Prototype: Designing wireframes and user flows for core app experiences, such as account creation, fabric and style personalization, a minimalist discovery page, and an AI chat feature to assist with style decisions.

Core Mission and Vision:
Stylec aims to make style decisions less stressful by providing an accessible, personalized shopping experience that helps users find comfortable, sustainable clothing that fits their tastes and budgets. The presentation includes research insights, user journey maps, empathy mapping, and visual prototypes that demonstrate how Stylec can transform shopping from an overwhelming task into a confident, streamlined experience.

Task
